Terms of Use

Acceptance

By using this website or the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them. If you obtained the app from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies and prevails where it conflicts with these terms.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your own use. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

Subscriptions, billing and refunds

• Some features require a paid subscription, purchased through the App Store.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
• Payments are processed by Apple. We cannot issue refunds directly; request them through Apple’s refund process.
• Prices may change; changes apply from the next renewal after notice.

Acceptable use

Use the app only with locks you own or are authorised to control. Do not use it to gain access to property without permission, to interfere with our services, or to break any law. You are responsible for the access codes and guest permissions you create.

Independence and trademarks

Smartlage is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Allegion plc or Schlage. Schlage® is a trademark of its owner and is used here only to identify the hardware discussed. See the trademark disclaimer.

Content accuracy

Troubleshooting content is published in good faith and verified against hardware where noted, but firmware, apps and hardware change. Follow it at your own discretion; it is not professional security advice.

Availability

The app depends on your lock hardware, your network, and Apple and manufacturer services we do not control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation and features may change or be removed. Do not rely on the app as your only means of entry. Keep a physical key or another way in.

Disclaimer of warranties

The website and app are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, lockouts, property damage or loss of access. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and consumers keep their statutory rights.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend access if these terms are breached.

Changes

We may update these terms; the updated version is posted here with a new date, and continued use means acceptance.
